Ecuadorean law enforcement officials entered the Mexican embassy in Quito on Friday evening to arrest Ecuador’s former vp who had taken refuge there, prompting Mexico to droop bilateral relations.
Jorge Glas, the previous vp, had been sentenced to jail and there was a warrant out for his arrest earlier than Mexico granted him asylum, Ecuador’s presidential workplace mentioned in an announcement asserting the arrest.
