Turkey's Overseas Minister, Hakan Fidan, and the European Union's Neighborhood and Enlargement Commissioner, Oliver Varcheli, appeared optimistic that the negotiations for the progress of Euro-Turkish relations can proceed, after their assembly in Ankara.
The Turkish Overseas Minister mentioned that he considers it excellent news for Turkey that he obtained assurances from the European Commissioner that the European Union helps the highway map he has drawn up for Turkey.
“Turkey”, he added, desires Euro-Turkish relations to go in a constructive course, continuously including one stone on prime of one other.
Hakan Fidan accused some member states of the European Union of utilizing “low-cost and cheap”, as he put it, a cause they mix with immigration.
The European Commissioner emphasised that cooperation with Turkey is extra obligatory than ever and that the European Union at all times treats Turkey as a candidate nation, a key companion, a strategic and essential ally of NATO, which is on the crossroads of two armed conflicts.
