Fire tears through London restaurant with flats above it | UK News

A hearth erupted inside a store beneath flats alongside Baker Avenue in central London this morning.

The blaze began at 4.56am, burning each the bottom and first flooring of the four-storey constructing.

Sixty firefighters introduced the blaze underneath management by 7.10am, hearth officers stated in an incident report.

In line with footage, the hearth gutted Reubens, an almost five-decade-old kosher deli restaurant just a few minutes stroll from Baker Avenue and Marleybone Tube stations.

The eatery’s web site says it’s ‘the longest-running kosher restaurant within the UK and the one kosher restaurant within the West Finish’.

‘Visitors is prone to be impacted as crews stay on scene into the morning,’ the hearth brigade added.

It isn’t identified if there have been any accidents. The reason for the hearth is unclear.
