The Ministry of Nationwide Protection introduced the title of the soldier who was martyred in a visitors accident on the Akçay-Güzelyurt street. It was reported that the soldier's title was Uğurcan Işık.

“On account of a visitors accident that occurred within the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on August 22, 2024, our heroic comrade-in-arms P. Personal Uğurcan IŞIK was martyred; 11 of our heroic comrades-in-arms had been injured and had been instantly taken to the hospital and their therapy started.
We want God's mercy upon our expensive martyr who misplaced his life on this incident that has stuffed us with deep ache and sorrow; we provide our condolences and persistence to his grieving household, the Turkish Armed Forces and our noble nation; and we want a speedy restoration to our wounded comrades-in-arms.
