Greater than 100 individuals have been evacuated from a block of flats in east London which has been engulfed in flames.
London Fireplace Brigade was known as at 02:44 BST and elements of the scaffolding surrounding the constructing in addition to the bottom flooring and the roof are alight.
Forty fireplace engines and 225 firefighters have been despatched to Freshwater Highway which has been closed to site visitors.
The reason for the fireplace isn’t identified presently, the Brigade has stated.
Station commander Alan Bendell, who’s on the scene, stated: “The hearth is producing heavy smoke and we’re advising native residents to maintain home windows and doorways closed.
“Two of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders are getting used on the scene as aerial water towers to help with tackling the fireplace from peak.”
Crews from Dagenham, Ilford, Romford, Barking and surrounding fireplace stations are on the scene, the Brigade added.
It’s unclear at this stage whether or not anyone is injured.
