Yesterday some 801 migrants crossed the English Channel – that’s the second highest day by day whole this 12 months, in response to Dwelling Workplace figures.
Crammed into simply 14 boats, they had been the fortunate ones who made it right here alive. For one boat there was tragedy when it hit rocks simply off the French coast, eight of these on board had been drowned, six others had been taken to hospital – together with a child with hypothermia.
