An extension to the submission of non-public revenue tax returns till November 30 is anticipated to be given, in its afternoon session, by the Council of Ministers.
A proposal for an extension has already been submitted by the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos.
The primary official of the Tax Division, Irini Ioannou, reiterated that the rationale for the extension is the impossibility of getting into the system for customers from overseas, because of the measures taken to cope with cyber assaults.
Till yesterday, 93% of taxpayers had submitted a declaration, in comparison with final yr. 81% had submitted the declaration definitively.
