The European Union and Armenia have formally entered the operational section of the Visa Liberalisation Dialogue throughout a Senior Officers’ Assembly in Yerevan, the EU Delegation to Armenia introduced on Friday.
The assembly, which introduced Deputy Director-Basic for Migration and Dwelling Affairs on the European Fee Johannes Luchner and Armenian Minister of Inner Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, aimed to stipulate the reforms required for Armenian residents to achieve visa-free entry to the European Union.
The senior officers mentioned the mandatory reforms in areas resembling doc safety, border and migration administration, mobility and asylum insurance policies, in addition to measures to fight corruption and arranged crime.
Each side reiterated that the method is substance-based, with no set deadline for its conclusion and no automated end result. They agreed that the subsequent steps would contain two scoping visits in early 2025.
