The election of hardliner Mikheil Kavelashvili means the ruling Georgian Dream get together has tightened its grip on energy.
It’s accused of rigging parliamentary elections in October with the assistance of its allies in Moscow.
In response, Georgia’s present pro-Western president vowed to remain on past the top of her time period on Monday. In the meantime, within the capital Tbilisi, protestors have taken to the streets around the Parliament.
