The Parliamentary Establishments Committee, unanimously, accepted the impeachment of President Christodoulidis, for the legislation relating to the common limitation of money transactions to 10 thousand euros, which was lately authorized by the Plenary of the Parliament.
The referral was deemed essential, because the laws included a reference to a European Regulation, for the restriction on money transactions, which – nonetheless – will enter into power in July 2027.
In its extraordinary assembly, the Establishments Committee determined to exclude from the legislation the reference to the particular European regulation and to advertise the particular modification for a vote within the Plenary Session of the Parliament, in order that the restriction on money transactions, at ten thousand, would come into impact instantly euro.
