The Russian cargo ship Ursa Main, that was alleged to be evacuating army personnel and materièl from Russian bases in Syria, sank within the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain on Monday night time.
“Within the worldwide waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the Russian dry cargo ship Ursa Main … sank after an explosion within the engine room,” Russia’s International Ministry introduced on Telegram on Tuesday morning.
“Of the 16 crew members (from the Russian Federation), 14 folks had been rescued (taken by the rescue service to the port of Cartagena, Murcia), 2 are lacking,” the ministry added.
