Martin Clunes reveals David Walliams was ‘very rude’ about him on TV show – saying ‘I was not flattered’

MARTIN Clunes has revealed David Walliams was ‘very impolite’ about him on a preferred TV present.

From 2010 to 2011, David wrote and starred in Channel 4 mockumentary Come Fly With Me with comedy accomplice Matt Lucas.

In a single sketch, the pair portrayed excitable Japanese schoolgirls who have been superfans of the Doc Martin actor.

This included the comedians performing a musical caricature of the Japanese language.

Chatting with The Sunday Instances, Martin revealed preliminary plans have been for him to star within the sketch.

He would have filmed a scene with the pair’s characters and mentioned: “Really, I am fairly huge in Japan.”

Because the actor defined: “However my schedule closed up and I could not.

Talking in 2010, David instructed presenter Graham: “Usually  [some Japanese fans are obsessed] with somebody like Robbie Williams.

“We thought, ‘Who’s essentially the most unlikely individual? We considered Martin Clunes.”

In the meantime, Martin was requested whether or not he’d heard the tune typically through the years.
