Murder in Heraklion: 16 years later the suspect crosses the threshold of the investigator

The lifeless physique of the 54-year-old from Scotland was discovered floating off the coast of Heraklion in March 2009

Sixteen years after the loss of life of the 54-year-old British lady, Jean Hanlon, the unique suspect in her loss of life passes as we speak, Wednesday, January 8, on the threshold of the third investigator of Heraklion, in response to data from ertnews.gr.

It’s recalled that the lifeless physique of the 54-year-old from Scotland was discovered floating off the coast in Heraklion in March 2009, 4 days after her disappearance and her loss of life was initially attributed to drowning.

A second coroner's inquest then concluded that the lady had suffered an harm from a fall and was subsequently discovered overboard, making the case a murder.

The search didn’t bear fruit, however Jean Hanlon's three sons didn’t surrender and continued the search after hiring a personal detective. The case is now open for the 4th time within the Greek courts.
