Tesla is voluntarily recalling about 239,000 of its electrical autos within the U.S. to repair a problem that may trigger its rearview cameras to fail, the corporate disclosed in filings posted Friday to the Nationwide Freeway Visitors Security Administration’s web site.
“A rearview digicam that doesn’t show a picture reduces the motive force’s rear view, rising the danger of a crash,” Tesla wrote in a letter to the regulator. The recall applies to Tesla’s 2024-2025 Mannequin 3 and Mannequin S sedans, and to its 2023-2025 Mannequin X and Mannequin Y SUVs.
