The Police arrested a 27-year-old individual yesterday, as a part of an investigation into two theft instances, dedicated on 09/01/2025 in Limassol.
In accordance with the complaints made to the Police by a 60-year-old and an 86-year-old girl, in each instances, they had been approached by two individuals using a bike and, utilizing violence, snatched their luggage from them.
The perpetrators, utilizing violence, snatched luggage from the victims after which fled in an unknown course.
The primary incident occurred at round 1.30pm, when a 60-year-old girl, whereas she was outdoors an house constructing in an space of Limassol, was approached by a bike on which two individuals had been using.
The 60-year-old was attacked by the passenger of the bike, who, after hitting her within the stomach, managed to grab her purse, which contained a sum of cash.
The second incident occurred ten minutes earlier (round 1.20pm), when an 86-year-old girl, whereas outdoors a store in Limassol, was approached by a bike, on which two individuals had been using.
The perpetrators managed to seize her bag, which contained a sum of cash and different private belongings, with the passenger of the bike pushing her, inflicting the 86-year-old to fall to the bottom.
The complainant was taken to the Limassol Common Hospital, the place it was discovered that she had suffered a fracture and was saved for additional hospitalization.
