KHOJALY, Azerbaijan, January 14. One other group
of former internally displaced individuals (IDPs) will return to
Khojaly metropolis and Ballija village in Azerbaijan’s Khojaly district
on January 15, Development studies.
Tomorrow, six households (25 folks) will return to Khojaly, whereas
18 households (92 folks) will settle in Ballija. Most of those
households had briefly lived within the cities of Baku, Sumgayit,
Ganja, and different areas of the nation.
Thus far, 44 households have been resettled in Khojaly and 48
households in Ballija village. The final relocation to Ballija took
place on December 27, when 21 households (119 folks) returned to the
village.
To notice, Ballija village, positioned within the Khojaly district, is
located 10.6 kilometers from the regional middle. Nestled on the
left financial institution of the Ballija River on the foot of the Karabakh ridge,
the village was named after the river flowing via the
area.
The village was occupied by the Armenian military in 1992. Nevertheless,
following native anti-terrorist measures on September 19-20, 2023,
Ballija was liberated from enemy occupation.
