Bryn Jones, head of mounted revenue at Rathbones, described the current rise in UK gilt yields as “fairly a fear”.
“I’d get up early and never get again to sleep – so I had some early mornings worrying about what was happening,” he informed Funding Week.
When markets opened final Monday (6 January), yields on the UK 10-Yr gilt opened at 4.62%, with little change all through the day, in response to information from MarketWatch.
Equally, the UK 30-Yr gilt started that week at 5.18%, closing barely decrease final Monday, at round 5.17%.
