President Ersin Tatar attended the opening ceremony of the “Dance of Lefkara Embroidery” exhibition.
Talking on the occasion held at İsmet Vehit Güney Exhibition Corridor, Tatar acknowledged that Lefkara work requires nice dedication and energy, and identified the significance of transferring this custom from the previous to future generations when it comes to defending the cultural heritage.
Stating that Turkish Cypriots live on in Cyprus with their traditions, customs, tradition and artwork, President Tatar famous that they are going to live on by defending these values.
Tatar congratulated Şenay Ekingen and her workforce for the work that he acknowledged was completed with nice dedication, sacrifice and meticulousness, and thanked the Director of the Tradition Division Şirin Zaimağaoğlu and her colleagues for supporting such work.
