In Güneysu, Rize province, Ali İhsan Solak, a retired man with a ardour for flowers, has given outdated boots a second life by turning them into vibrant flower pots. He has hung 40 of those boots on a wall reverse his home, the place they develop flowers, greens and strawberries, attracting the curiosity of passers-by.
Solak plans to broaden the challenge by adorning the whole wall with extra crops.
