The Nationwide Crime Company (NCA) in Nicosia has seized over a kilogram of hashish and several other navy weapon cartridges, resulting in the arrest of a 34-year-old man.
The arrest is a part of ongoing investigations.
Following a tip-off, members of the NCA, together with the Police Canine Unit, carried out a search of a warehouse within the rural Nicosia district, maintained by the suspect.
They discovered 5 full 7.62mm caliber cartridges, two nylon luggage containing hashish with a complete weight of 1134 grams, a small container of hashish, and a cell phone.
A subsequent search of the suspect’s residence in Nicosia uncovered three items of a stable substance, weighing a complete of 1 gram.
The 34-year-old was arrested for the offense of unlawful possession of property and is in custody.
He’s scheduled to seem earlier than the Nicosia District Court docket for a detention order.
Investigations by the NEC (Nicosia Provincial Degree) are ongoing.
