BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. Nationwide Flag Day
in Azerbaijan is widely known on November 9, following a decree
signed by President Ilham Aliyev on November 17, 2009.
The Azerbaijani tricolor was first adopted because the nationwide flag
on November 9, 1918, throughout a gathering of the federal government of the
Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR), which lasted till Could
1920.
After Azerbaijan regained its independence in 1991, the Supreme
Soviet of Azerbaijan declared the tricolor, that includes an
