Kemi Badenoch dismissed Rachel Reeves’ historic place as the primary feminine Chancellor, describing her milestone as smashing by way of “a really, very low glass ceiling” and “nowhere close to as important as what different girls on this nation have achieved.”
Talking to the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg in her first tv interview since being elected Tory chief, the MP for North West Essex described how she discovered it astonishing Ms Reeves saved speaking about her achievement.
“She’s the primary feminine chancellor which in my opinion is a really, very low glass ceiling within the Labour Celebration,” Ms Badenoch added.
