Chelsea FC Women renames iconic stadiums to 'Samford Bridge' and 'Kerrsmeadow' as world class striker Sam Kerr renews her contract

As world-class striker Sam Kerr renews her contract with Chelsea Girls till 2026, the membership has briefly renamed ‘Samford Bridge’ and ‘Kerrsmeadow’ in her honour.

Since signing for Chelsea in 2019, Kerr has scored an excellent 99 objectives in 128 matches. She has beforehand been awarded the Girls’s Tremendous League (WSL) Golden Boot and has been a part of the squads who gained again to again Girls’s Tremendous League and FA Cup titles.

Pictured at ‘Samford Bridge’, Kerr poses with the brand new signal on the stadium. The signal is put in briefly at Britannia Gate and can stay up till sixteenth June, 2024.

Following the success of the membership this yr – together with an unprecedented fifth consecutive Girls’s Tremendous League championship (seventh general) alongside record-breaking attendances on the West London stadium – the signing marks the beginning of a brand new period within the continued development of the group.
