Cyprus is shifting into the sensible transport age, with the signing of a €5.8-million contract on Friday between the federal government and Ebas Swarco Consortium.
The 2-year undertaking “Provide, set up, integration with nationwide mobility platform of public works division and upkeep of its {hardware} gear for Cyprus digital twin” goals at enhancing security and street community capability.
It enhances present investments and creates a coordinating centre for site visitors administration and contains gear for the site visitors administration centre, 40 digital boards, 180 site visitors meters and 170 cameras.
The contract was signed by head of public works Eleftherios Eletheriou and Ebas CEO Kostas Louka, within the presence of Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades.
These investments embody site visitors remark and management techniques, in addition to digital boards, funded by the EU and the Republic of Cyprus.
The contract contains six years of upkeep.
