A transparent reference to his future was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who mentioned that the municipal elections held in just a few days, on March 31, might be his final.
On Friday he declared at a rally: “It's the top for me. This election might be my final with the authority given to me by regulation.”
He additionally added that “the outcome might be a switch of belief to my brothers who will come after me”.
Erdogan's time period as president ends in 2028, whereas the subsequent native authorities elections might be held in 2029.
