A FORMER Aston Villa starlet who was left preventing for his life after being stabbed THREE occasions is now getting ready for Champions League motion.
Brad Younger was solely 17 when the horrific assault occurred at a park in Solihull in Might 2020.
The striker required life-saving surgical procedure after he was left with a 12cm knife wound and required three blood transfusions.
Now, 4 years later, he’s getting ready to steer the road for Welsh membership The New Saints within the Champions League qualification rounds.
Recalling the horrifying evening of the assault, he stated: “I used to be in a park with my mates and a random group of lads approached me, attacked me and tried to rob me.
“I fought again, the man that punched me in my face had me in a headlock and I simply felt one thing bizarre in my again. I let go, seemed down and noticed I’d been stabbed thrice.
“I referred to as the ambulance after which collapsed to the ground. They rushed me into hospital they usually didn’t know what was going to occur, one of many stab wounds hit an artery and I misplaced lots of blood.
“It was 12cm deep and I wanted three blood transfusions, that’s what saved my life.
“Then I needed to look ahead to the surgical procedure and as I used to be mendacity there I used to be asking whether or not I might play soccer once more.”
He continued: “At that age I used to be messing about and going out, I wasn’t taking soccer critically, I used to be partying, regular stuff 17-year-olds do, however not regular for a footballer to do.
“If something it was a great factor and it opened my eyes up for what I actually wished to do and what I had been working all my life to do.
“It simply woke me up and realised I needed to cease messing about and knuckle down. I’m happy with myself.”
