Liquid property of a worth equal to or higher than ten thousand euros are declared in writing to a reliable officer of the Customs Division upon coming into or exiting the Republic and makes them obtainable for inspection
The Customs, with its announcement, clarifies, after the case of the switch of 420 thousand euros to Cyprus by a lady from Ukraine, that whether or not massive quantities of cash enter or go away the Republic of Cyprus, these are declared in writing to the Division and these statements are transferred to MOKAS and the Police.

In accordance with the provisions of the Management of Liquid Property Coming into or Leaving the European Union and the Train of Intra-Union Controls in Liquid Property Regulation no. 63(I) of 2022:
“A pure one who enters the Republic from a 3rd nation or one other member state or leaves it to a 3rd nation or one other member state and transfers liquid property of a worth equal to or higher than ten thousand euros (€10,000), declares this in writing to a reliable official of Division of Customs upon entry into or exit from the Republic and makes them obtainable for inspection”.
All money declarations, after being processed by the Customs Division, are forwarded for additional investigation to MO.Okay.A.S. inside the framework of its competences. Additionally, declarations of money reserves price €100,000 or extra are forwarded to the Police for info and their very own actions.
