Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that the ceasefire with the Lebanese Hezbollah militia is at risk, in accordance with a report by the Occasions of Israel.
Israel shall be “compelled to behave” if Hezbollah fighters don’t withdraw from southern Lebanon as mandated by the ceasefire settlement, Katz instructed the newspaper on Sunday.
Katz reportedly emphasised that Israel is considering sustaining the ceasefire.
However, he mentioned, this was conditional on the Hezbollah militants withdrawing behind the Litani River, round 30 kilometres north of the Israeli-Lebanese border, and on the Lebanese Military dismantling all weapons and terrorist infrastructure within the border space.
