The European Union condemns all assaults towards United Nations missions, the union’s international coverage chief Josep Borrell stated in a response to focusing on of the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, referred to as UNIFIL, by the Israel Defence Forces.
“Such assaults towards UN peacekeepers represent a grave violation of worldwide regulation and are completely unacceptable. These assaults should cease instantly,” Borrell stated in a press release on behalf of the EU revealed Sunday evening.
“The EU condemns all assaults towards UN missions,” Borrell stated.
