“We wakened at 02:30 [on Sunday]. There was fixed gunfire throughout the environment of the hospital. Our co-worker Amir was martyred whereas he was on the human sources [office]. He was hit within the chest by a bullet and died instantly,” Samy al-Omry, one of many paramedics at al-Amal, advised BBC Arabic’s Gaza Lifeline radio service whereas he walked to al-Mawasi on Monday.
