BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 7. The influx of
direct investments from China to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $52.868
million from January via March 2024, Development reviews.
This is a rise of 80 p.c from the corresponding time in
2023 ($29.351 million), as reported by the State Statistical
Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
China was the first investor in Kyrgyzstan throughout the reviewed
months, accounting for 26 p.c of all investments in Kyrgyzstan,
adopted by Russia with 20 p.c, Türkiye with 14 p.c, the
Netherlands with 10 p.c, and Germany with 9 p.c.
Total, Kyrgyzstan obtained $200.3 million in overseas
investments within the first quarter of this yr, marking a 17.2
p.c enhance year-on-year.
The most important share of overseas investments, 40 p.c, went to
manufacturing, 15 p.c to commerce, 14 p.c to mining, and 9
p.c to data and communication.
