A person has been jailed for greater than eight years for stealing a lady’s automobile whereas her blind 89-year-old mom was nonetheless contained in the automobile.
David Stephenson, 51, was jailed this week for eight years and 6 months after being discovered responsible of kidnap, theft of a motorized vehicle, harmful driving and driving with out a licence.
Higher Manchester Police obtained a name from the daughter of an 89-year-old lady who advised them “somebody’s took my automobile and my mum”.
Police stated she had left the engine operating to maintain the heating on within the automobile to maintain her aged mom heat for 10 minutes whereas she went to the outlets.
Stephenson, of no mounted abode, was “not fazed by the actual fact a susceptible aged lady was within the passenger seat” and received into the automobile and drove off, police stated.
