An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after three individuals died in a tower block.
Bedfordshire Police responded to issues concerning the welfare of some residents and found three injured individuals in a flat within the Marsh Farm space of Luton at about 05:30 BST.
All three individuals have been pronounced lifeless on the 15-storey Leabank constructing and following searches police discovered a weapon.
Det Supt Rob Corridor mentioned: “As a part of our investigation, we’ve got recovered a firearm from Bramingham Street and inquiries shall be ongoing in relation this.”
Armed police and investigators sporting white forensic gear have been noticed on the tower block and a close-by open inexperienced house.
The 18-year-old was arrested that morning on neighbouring Bramingham Street.
Det Supt Corridor added: “We’re nonetheless within the early levels of this investigation and formal identification of the victims has but to happen. Nevertheless we do consider that each one of these concerned are recognized to one another and we’re not at present on the lookout for anybody else in connection to this incident.
“We’ll have officers working across the clock each on the scene and in the neighborhood over the weekend and I’d encourage anybody with issues to talk to their area people officers.”
He added there was not believed to be any menace to the broader group.
