
A pedestrian has died after being hit by an ambulance which was responding to an emergency name in Moray.
The person was hit by the car on the A96 at Barmuckity, close to Elgin, at about 03:30 on Saturday.
The 40-year-old was taken to hospital however died a short while later.
Police Scotland mentioned inquiries into the incident had been ongoing.

The highway was closed between Reiket Lane and St Andrews Drive for about 10 hours earlier than reopening at about 14:00.
Officers are interesting for anybody who witnessed the incident or caught it on a dashcam to come back ahead.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service mentioned the “circumstances of the incident” had been being investigated.
Sgt Dave Cooper mentioned: “My ideas are with the household and buddies of the person who died and we’ll do all we will to assist them at this troublesome time.”
