On Christmas Eve, the Russian civilian cargo ship “Ursa Main” sank within the Mediterranean Sea.
The ship is owned by the Russian firm Oboronlogistics, which transports and shops items for the Russian Ministry of Protection.
Now the corporate says the ship sank on account of three explosions in what’s being referred to as a “terrorist assault,” the Russian state-controlled information company Ria Novosti studies .
Formally, the ship was to sail from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok on Russia’s east coast. However Ukraine believes the ship was really to select up Russian weapons and navy tools from Syria.
Two of the ship’s 16 crew members are nonetheless lacking. 14 had been rescued ashore after the sinking.
