Sabalenka gained her 18th WTA Tour title. An Australian Open winner in 2023 and 2024, she’s going to confidently method the protection of her title in every week's time. The Belarusian succeeds Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, who crushed her in final 12 months's ultimate 6-0, 6-3.
It was the primary ultimate for her youthful sister Veronika Kudermetova, 21, who had certified in Brisbane. That efficiency will see her break into the High 60 of the WTA rankings for the primary time in her profession on Monday.
