DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – A ship attacked by Yemen’s Houthi rebels has sunk within the Purple Sea after days of taking up water, officers stated Saturday, making it the primary vessel to be totally destroyed as a part of their marketing campaign over Israel’s battle towards Hamas within the Gaza Strip.
The Rubymar had been drifting northward after being attacked on Feb. 18 within the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, an important waterway linking the Purple Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Yemen’s internationally acknowledged authorities, in addition to a regional navy official, confirmed the ship sank. The official spoke on situation of anonymity as the knowledge had not been cleared for publication.
