That is what has pushed monks and hermits for the reason that ninth century to the Abbey of San Benedetto on Mount Subasio, just a few kilometres from Assisi in central Italy.
Restored a number of instances after the horrible earthquake that struck central Italy in 1997, right this moment it’s run by Benedictine nuns who’ve entrusted its custody to its sole inhabitant: Albero Cisco.
