To seek the advice of with the Central Financial institution and the Financial institution of Cyprus “with the intention to assume the duty attributed to it, which is none aside from the compensation of its personal shareholders/clients”, suggest to the State and the President, Nikos Christodoulidis, the Affiliation of Depositors of Laiki Financial institution ( SYKALA) and the Affiliation of Holders of Financial institution Securities (SYKATA) of their joint press launch.
“We think about that the Financial institution of Cyprus, which was rescued within the methods it was rescued in 2013 to be an energetic monetary entity at the moment, has the duty to compensate, even regularly, its personal shareholders/depositors/holders of securities who had been pressured to “put their backs” for for Financial institution of Cyprus to exist at the moment”, they are saying, amongst different issues.
With such an association, they word, the Nationwide Solidarity Fund “will undertake the compensation of depositors/holders of Laiki's securities, since Laiki Financial institution has been State-owned since 2012”, including that, “in a dependable State of Legislation, logic should prevail.
