DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 8. Tajikistan
has allotted further funds from its funds for the completion
of the Rogun hydropower plant, Pattern studies.
In response to a authorities decree, the Ministry of Finance has
been instructed to switch 40 million somoni (roughly $3.8
million) from the nationwide funds to the Stabilization Fund for
Financial Improvement to extend the approved capital of Rogun
Hydropower Plant OJSC.
The Tajik authorities had beforehand directed the Ministry of
Finance to allocate 77.5 million somoni (about $7.3 million) to
increase the approved capital of Rogun Hydropower Plant OJSC in Could
2024.
The Rogun HPP, a 3,600-MW hydroelectric energy station presently
below development on the Vakhsh River, plans to put in six models,
every with a capability of 600 MW. Two models are presently
operational, with the third anticipated to be totally commissioned by
2025. The Rogun HPP is anticipated to generate over 17 billion kWh
