Iran's overseas ministry confirmed tonight that Iranian engineer Mohammad Abedini, who was arrested in Italy on the request of the US, has been launched and can return to Tehran “throughout the subsequent few hours”.
Abtenini, 38, was arrested on a US warrant accusing him of offering army expertise to Iran.
Earlier at the moment, Italian Justice Minister Carlo Nordio requested the Court docket of Attraction in Milan to launch the Iranian, days after Tehran freed an Italian journalist who had been arrested in Iran.
“The issue has been resolved and led to his launch and return,” following “negotiations” between Iran's and Italy's intelligence businesses, reported Iran's Mizan On-line information company, the press organ of the nation's judicial authorities.
