Following the reactions expressed by the Pancypriot Affiliation of Democratic Resistance.
The 2 marble vertical inscriptions on the monument to be erected to Lieutenant Common Nikolaos Katoudas, which point out the names of the commandos of 5 Commando Squadrons, aren’t included within the related approvals given by the Municipality of Strovolos, it’s acknowledged in at the moment's announcement by the Municipality, following the reactions expressed by Pankyprios Democratic Resistance Affiliation.
It’s recalled that the Affiliation expressed its concern to the Mayor of Strovolos, relating to the intention of erecting a memorial to commandos within the Municipality, noting that it has data that commandos who participated within the assault on the Presidential Palace through the coup of July 15, 1974 are to be honored.
