In Hungary, the speaker of the parliament, Sandor Lezak, signed the ratification of Sweden's NATO accession protocol.
Hungarian lawmakers permitted Sweden's NATO membership on February 26, clearing the ultimate hurdle for the Nordic nation to take a historic step and break its neutrality, which it has maintained via two world wars and the Chilly Conflict.
Ratification of the protocol was adopted by the Hungarian Parliament with an amazing majority – 188 votes out of a complete of 199 deputies – ending virtually two years of ready.
The related invoice is now anticipated to be signed by the president of Hungary, who has 5 days at his disposal.
