Gelener: “We don’t settle for this double normal, unfair apply and arbitrary angle of the Ministry of Training in direction of academics”
The Turkish Cypriot Academics' Union (KTÖS) reported that the Ministry of Nationwide Training has not paid the wages it was speculated to pay to everlasting academics since April, citing a “technical error”. KTÖS Training Secretary Süleyman Gelener, in a written assertion, urged that the Union had reported on the damaging angle of the Ministry of Nationwide Training in direction of the educating career and academics' rights in latest months, and that the report clearly confirmed that the Ministry was insufficient in supporting academics' skilled growth, motivation and satisfaction. Gelener, who said that “we’re confronted with a brand new instance of this damaging angle”, famous that the Ministry of Training had beforehand been in a position to deduct additional salaries from academics for hours they weren’t on strike, made deductions from their wages on the grounds that they’d attended in-service coaching however had not attended, and had not paid the preparation allowance to newly appointed academics. Gelener, who said that the Ministry had not paid the wages it was speculated to pay since April, citing a technical error, solely to everlasting academics, said that as KTÖS, they didn’t settle for “this double normal, unfair apply and the arbitrary angle of the Ministry of Training in direction of academics”.
In his assertion, Gelener stated, “We won’t hesitate to query the actual causes underlying this discrimination made below the pretext of a technical error and to take the mandatory authorized motion. We’ll proceed to defend the rights of our academics till the top. We announce that we are going to use all our authorized, union and judicial rights if this drawback just isn’t resolved instantly.”
