Two youngsters have been charged over a suspected chemical assault at a southwest London prepare station on Friday.
The 2 boys, aged 16 and 14, who can’t be named for authorized causes, have been charged with possession of a corrosive substance in a public place.
Cops noticed two folks appearing suspiciously at Surbiton prepare station at round 4:20pm on Friday. As they engaged with the boys, the British Transport Cops have been uncovered to the corrosive substance, which is believed to be alkaline.
Two officers have been taken to hospital and have since been discharged. Seven others, together with two different officers from the Metropolitan Police, have been checked on the scene by paramedics.
The incident closed down Surbiton station quickly on Friday, with South Western Railway trains compelled to skip the station.
One 18-year-old traveller who was on the station on Friday, Esme Wright, stated: “I did see that there have been about seven police automobiles. There have been police blocking the entrances and exits. Folks in all places.”
