Two Romanian males have been arrested and charged after an Iranian journalist was stabbed exterior his house in Wimbledon.
Pouria Zeraati was attacked as he approached his automotive in Queensmere Highway within the south west London district on March 29.
He was left with horror accidents on his leg. Â
Nandito Badea, 19, and George Stana, 23, have now been arrested as they had been stopped at Heathrow Airport on Tuesday having been beforehand detained in Romania earlier this month.
The pair had been met by officers from the Metropolitan Police.Â
This comes after they’d been returned to the UK from Romania by specialist Nationwide Extradition Unit officers from the NCA’s Joint Worldwide Crime Centre.
They are going to seem at Westminster Magistrates’ Courtroom on Wednesday charged with wounding with intent to trigger grievous bodily hurt and wounding.
Senior Met officer Helen Flanagan mentioned: ‘This has been a long-running investigation and I’m happy we have now reached some extent the place two males have now been charged and can face prosecution right here within the UK.
