The United Nations particular rapporteur on the Palestinian territories claims, in her report launched right now, that there are “good causes” to consider that Israel has dedicated many “acts of genocide”, even talking of “ethnic cleaning”.
“The kind and overwhelming scale of the Israeli assault on Gaza and the disastrous dwelling circumstances it has precipitated reveal an intention to bodily destroy the Palestinians as a bunch,” says Francesca Albanese within the report she is going to current tomorrow on the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
The report, titled “Anatomy of a Genocide”, concludes that “there are good causes to consider that we’ve reached the brink” displaying that “genocidal acts in opposition to the Palestinians in Gaza” have been dedicated. In its conclusions it lists three acts of genocide: “homicide of members of a bunch, severe harm to the bodily or psychological integrity of the members of the group, and intentional subjection of the group to circumstances supposed to fully or partially destroy it bodily.”
These are three of the 5 acts of genocide included within the Conference on the Prevention and Suppression of the Crime of Genocide.
The Israeli delegation to the United Nations in Geneva “fully rejected the report,” saying in a press release that it was a part of “the marketing campaign to undermine the very basis of the Jewish state.”
“Israel's battle is in opposition to Hamas, not in opposition to Palestinian civilians,” he added.
