The United Nations (UN) Common Meeting has declared 2025-2034 because the United Nations Decade to Fight Sand and Mud Storms, calling for a combat towards the rising mud and sand storms affecting Central Africa to Northern China.
Uganda's UN Ambassador Godfrey Kwoba, who offered the decision on behalf of the Group of 77, stated they aimed to “cease and cut back the destructive results of sand and dirt storms” by means of “worldwide and regional cooperation”.
The decision, which goals to fight the rising mud and sand storms affecting Central Africa to Northern China, was unanimously adopted within the UN Common Meeting.
