BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 1. The completion of
the brand new copper smelting advanced on the Almalyk Mining and
Metallurgical Advanced (AMMC) in Uzbekistan is scheduled for the
coming years, AMMC Chairman Abdulla Khursanov stated in an unique
interview with Development.
“The brand new copper smelting advanced is geared toward increasing the
present capability for cathode copper manufacturing from 148,000 tons to
300,000 tons. The undertaking is being carried out on the present
advanced’s territory and is split into a number of key amenities: a
metallurgical and sulfuric acid store, an oxygen block, a
slag-processing plant, a focus and cost preparation
warehouse, a copper electrolysis store, the brand new plant’s energy provide
system, and infrastructure,” he stated.
In line with him, contractors have already been chosen for the
metallurgical and sulfuric acid retailers, the oxygen block, and
inner energy provide amenities. Contracts have been signed, and
funding has been secured for these areas.

help of KfW IPEX Financial institution and AKA Financial institution. KfW has taken on the position of

Earlier, KfW IPEX Financial institution and AKA Financial institution (Germany) signed an
settlement with Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical
Mix (AMMC) on development of a brand new copper smelting advanced in
Uzbekistan.
