A spokeswoman for Sussex Police stated: “Police in Brighton have arrested 5 males on suspicion of rape following a report obtained on Sunday morning (February 9).
“At round 9.40am, a girl in her 20s reported having been raped in a single day at a property in Montpelier Place, Brighton.
“She is being supported by specialist officers and an investigation is now underway.
“As a part of these enquiries, 5 males – aged 38, 32, 32, 26 and 26 – have been arrested on suspicion of rape.
“They continue to be in custody at the moment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to grasp the total circumstances and no additional data is offered.”
